KoldReach Guide
How to Personalize Emails in KoldReach
What you'll accomplish
KoldReach supports template variables for contact and sender data, plus reusable snippets in the rich email editor. Personalization is useful only when the source data is accurate, so preview every sequence with a known test person before sending.
Before you begin
- A sequence open in Email Steps
- A saved contact with representative fields
- A signature if your workflow requires one
Step-by-step instructions
- 1
Open the rich editor
Open a sequence and select Email Steps. In the Body editor, place the cursor where the variable or snippet belongs.
- 2
Choose a supported variable
Select the braces variable control to open the picker. Categories include Contact, Derived, and Sender. Available fields include First name, Last name, Email, Job title, Company, Location, LinkedIn, processed company name, previous company, and sender details.
- 3
Use variables where they help
A greeting such as {{first_name}} or a sentence using {{company}} can reduce repetitive editing. Avoid putting a variable in a sentence that becomes misleading when the field is empty or inconsistent.
- 4
Insert a snippet or signature
Use the snippets control to load saved snippets, or create one when the editor offers that option. Insert the signature through the editor action when available. Treat snippets as reusable building blocks, not a replacement for the recipient-specific opening.
- 5
Preview resolved content
Select Show preview and choose Preview as. Confirm that variables resolve to sensible values, links are correct, and the message still reads naturally. Save only after the resolved preview is acceptable.
Tips and troubleshooting
Typing unsupported variable names
Use the picker instead of guessing keys. Supported keys are defined by the current editor and resolver; arbitrary text may remain unresolved.
Blank personalization
Preview with contacts that have incomplete data. Rewrite the sentence or use a fallback rather than sending an empty greeting.
Putting secrets in a snippet
Snippets are account content. Never store API keys, OAuth tokens, or private credentials in an email template.
Completion checklist
- □ Variables came from the picker

- □ Snippet and signature are appropriate
