KoldReach Guide
How to Add Follow-Up Emails to a KoldReach Sequence
What you'll accomplish
Follow-ups work best when they add a new reason to reply instead of repeating the first email. In KoldReach, additional steps are follow-ups in the same Gmail thread. You can set a delay in days and hours after the previous step and review the schedule before activating the sequence.
Before you begin
- An existing sequence with a saved initial email
- A clear follow-up reason
- Gmail connected before launch
Step-by-step instructions
- 1
Open Email Steps
Open Sequences, select the sequence, and choose the Email Steps tab. Confirm Step 1 contains the final initial email before adding another step.
- 2
Add a follow-up step
Use the add-step control in the Email Steps editor. The new card is labeled Follow-up and the editor explains that it continues the Step 1 thread.
- 3
Set the delay
Enter a non-negative number in Delay after previous (days) and, when needed, Delay (hours) from 0 through 23. Base the interval on the recipient’s context; do not use a short delay to pressure someone who has not replied.
- 4
Write new value
Follow-ups do not need a new subject. Reference the original context, add a useful detail or easy next step, and make it simple to decline. Keep the tone consistent with the initial message.
- 5
Preview and save
Select Show preview, choose Preview as a test person, and check the thread presentation. Save the steps, then open Overview to confirm the timeline shows the follow-up and its delay.
Tips and troubleshooting
Treating a follow-up like a new email
KoldReach sends follow-ups in the same Gmail thread. Do not add a new subject or imply that the recipient has started a new conversation.
Invalid hour delay
The hours field is bounded from 0 to 23. Use additional days for longer waits rather than entering 24 or more hours.
No reason to follow up
If you cannot add context, wait or stop. A sequence should respect the recipient’s attention and the purpose of the relationship.
Completion checklist
- □ Step 1 was reviewed
- □ Follow-up card is labeled correctly
- □ Delay uses valid days and hours
- □ The message adds value
- □ Timeline and preview were checked
